RULES AND REGULATIONS
YOGA SPORTS TO BE COVERED IN TNYSF
The 'Asanas' will be covered into 'Tamilnadu Yoga Sports Federation'
COMPETITION AREA

The competition area must be flat and devoid of hazard.

The competition area must be sufficient size to permit the uninterrupted performance of yoga.
YOGA COMPETITION AGE CATEGORY
TNYSF will be conduct competition for both female and male separately. for yoga competition the allowed age groups are

Age categories are the same for male and female competitor

Male and Female can be separated

Age divisions will be determined in the following manner: a competitor will be placed in an age division according to his year of birth, not his actual birthday, and he will be required to compete all year in this age category. Positive proof of age will be required at all events.
TOURNAMENT EVENTS
There are three types of yoga categories shall be as follow

Common Category & Special Category

Rhythmic yoga

Artistic yoga
Individual Asana Category

Each player should perform asanas separately based on their age group. Prizes are awarded based on their individual talent

players have to perform asanas on a yoga mat
-
The participant must perform three poses from the yoga chart. You must additionally perform two poses that aren't on the yoga chart so as to receive more points.

The player asanas' names don't have to be mentioned.

If you forget the asanas in the yoga chart, you can get the chart from the referee
-
A first-time error during the asanas will result in a warning, and a second-time error will result in one mark being subtracted.
Rhythmic yoga

Player should perform yoga with dance movements
-
Rhythmic yoga can be performed alone or in groups. Both male and female asanas can be performed together in this category or can be performed individually
-
You can give the organizers the music of your choice and play it while your team does yoga
Artistic yoga
-
Artistic yoga should be performed in not more than 1 or 2 minutes in all four corners and in the center of the arena. while moving from one corner to another corner player should move by performing some yoga moves
-
In each corner and in center, player should perform at least 2 asanas
-
You can give the organizers the music of your choice and play it while your team does yoga

Marks system
Marks will be awarded based on 5 main points in the yoga competition. It is given below

Start and finishing

Perfection

Face expression

Breath capacity

Special Marks

In the men's division, additional marks will be given for more flexibility asanas.

In the women's division, additional marks will be given for more hand balancing asanas.
MINUS POINT AND DISQUALIFICATION
Minus point
A first-time error during the asanas will result in a warning, a second-time error will result in one mark being subtracted and a third-time error will result in two marks being subtracted.
Disqualification
Any special effect, such as lasers, smoke, fire, explanations etc. Will not be tolerated. Infractions to the above mentioned rule will lead to the immediate disqualification of the competitor. Referee's marks should be the final.
PLAYER UNIFORM

Male player dress: There is specific uniform for competitors. They can wear only TNYSF approved uniforms i.e. skin tight sports shirts and tight sports pants or trousers which must be clean and decent with any color. Competitors are not only allowed to wear any other kind of dress.

Female player dress: There is specific uniform for competitors. They can wear only TNYSF approved uniforms i.e. skin tight sports shirt and tight sports pants or sports shirt and pants, which must be clean and decent with any colour. Competitors are not allowed to wear any jewellery or piercings or any kind of uniform.
SUMMARY OF YOGA RULES
The following rules are apply for all category

The point system will be used for all yoga events, with the total score being announced on the completion of the asana.

Competitors can choose to perform only approved asana list of TNYSF

In case, a high number of competitors in one category, a particular category will be divided into two categories.

In the event of a down match for first, second or third place, the chief judge will announce TNYSF approved asana to perform again for evaluation; the competitor with the highest score will be the winner.
CHIEF JUDGE SIGNAL

First whistle announcer will announce the competitor's name.
-
Second whistle, the competitor will perform the TNYSF approved asana.
-
Third whistle, the corner judges will show their marks to the chief judge and the scorer will make a note.
REFEREE AND JUDGES UNIFORM
-
The official uniform will be as follows: A white shirt with full hand, maroon Tie, plain black pants, white socks and black shoes for use on the match area.

Female dress code: White colour salwar with black sleeveless half coat
